The Manhattan Project was born out of the most existential threat of its time: the possibility of a fascist regime developing the most devastating weapon imaginable. In today’s dollars, the United States invested $34 billion to win the race for the nuclear bomb—and they succeeded. The outcome was a world locked into mutually assured destruction, a delicate balance of terror that keeps nations from direct conflict, supported by a sprawling six-continent supply chain. This is the world we inherited: a civilization held together not by shared purpose, but by fear, extraction, and the ever-present threat of annihilation.
Today, we face an even more devastating threat: the unfolding polycrisis—a convergence of environmental, social, and economic crises that together threaten the fabric of life on Earth. In response, we believe it’s time to launch a new kind of project, one that builds the infrastructure for a world of mutually assured thriving. A world where the dynamics of the game no longer push us toward competition and extraction, but instead amplify collaboration and mutual support.
Imagine a MIRACLE Factory as a new kind of university—one that seeks out, refines, and freely shares the knowledge and practices needed to live a fulfilling and successful life within the limits of our planet. It taps into both ancient wisdom and cutting-edge science to uncover the physical, spiritual, and cognitive technologies that can guide us toward a heliogenic civilization—a society that generates and sustains life, rather than depleting it. Each MIRACLE Factory serves as a hub for learning and innovation, equipping individuals and communities with the tools to thrive in harmony with the Earth and each other.
MIRACLE Factory Auroville is bringing this vision to life within the unique societal experiment of Auroville, India. Here, we’re piloting the idea of a life-serving university by drawing on Auroville’s half-century of accumulated knowledge about living in harmony with nature and community. This MIRACLE Factory taps into Auroville’s rich legacy of ecological and social innovation, creating a space where young people can learn, experiment, and implement practices that foster balance, resilience, and mutual thriving. Auroville serves as a living laboratory, where we’re exploring what it truly means to build a regenerative society from the ground up.
MIRACLE Factory IMAGI-NATION is the digital hub connecting the youth of the world—of all ages—to co-design the physical MIRACLE Factories we’re establishing across the globe. It serves as both a collaborative space for planning and co-creating new sites and as a knowledge hub for those ready to start living within a heliogenic civilization. Through IMAGI-NATION, anyone can access the wisdom, tools, and practices that support a life of abundance, resilience, and peace. This digital platform weaves together insights from diverse cultures, indigenous knowledge, and scientific advancements, empowering people everywhere to begin building a regenerative way of life, regardless of their location.
The first major project for MIRACLE Factory IMAGI-NATION is the creation of MIRACLE Factory Costa Rica, set to be established on a 2-hectare property in the beautiful and ecologically rich province of Guanacaste. In three months, we will begin the zoning and permitting process, and by then we need to have finalized the governance structure, core content, and architectural design of the Factory.
This blueprint will not only serve as the foundation for establishing MIRACLE Factory California on a 2-hectare property east of San Francisco, but it will also act as an invitation to the heads of state of the frontier nations—those countries most exposed to the effects of the polycrisis and historically on the receiving end of global extraction. Through this invitation, we seek to bring these nations into the MIRACLE Factory Network, an “inverse Manhattan Project” dedicated to creating a world of mutually assured thriving.
