trying to get more ppl offline and into the public space to re-imagine how to better sense-make together in new forms of social creativity and collective wisdom...we need each other's diversity at the hyperlocal level to experiment with change right where we are...currently just calling these public space prototypes or ad hoc labs that i pull together 'public futures cafe'
love it! what is your experience on (1) peoples need and willingness to engage in these re-imagination efforts and (2) their drive and action to do something concrete at the hyperlocal level?
the space needs to be open and flexible enough to simply engage a person at the level they feel curious enough to explore and comfortable to stay around to develop...
it is entirely the point of these social space prototypes to discover and nurture this energy, it's very personal and indivdual one on one work, always entirely unique what inspires and motivates someone to action and so it's about hosting/creating a space that fully welcomes a person for who they are, no matter how different, even strange their ideas or dreams might seem...
